Bulk Meat Purchase Summer 2011
This bulk meat purchase will be slightly different than those from the past. Rather than buying a whole hog and dividing the meat into shares, we'll be purchasing a "Farmer's Choice Box" that includes many of the value-added, specialty products that are difficult to include in the typical bulk share due to additional processing time required.
In short, the Box will include around 30 pounds of pork for $130. This is just over $4 per pound, which is a great deal! Items in the box will include: smoked ham steaks, suburban ham, breakfast sausage, breakfast sausage patties, Italian sausages, chorizo, Polish sausages, Andouille, bologna, hotdogs, ground pork, fresh bacon, smoked seasoning pieces and bone-in porkchops. The porkchops will come from Bame Farms (Salisbury) while the rest of the box will come from Wild Turkey Farm (China Grove).
There will be a $15 administration fee to cover tax and support Bread Riot programs. We look forward to bringing you future farm to fork programs and educational opportunities.
